Logistics: A Conduit of God's Blessings

By Tsungi Chiwara Head of Logistics

2009 was truly a year of Multiplication, especially for Celebration Health. Through the friendships and partnerships established, we not only saw outstanding medical procedures  done for free, but also an abundance of food, first aid, medicine and medical supplies donated to desperate Zimbabwean communities through Celebration Health. Last year alone, 32 consignments of medical and food aid were distributed to  37 public health institutions, 28 orphanages, 4 old people’s homes, 8 prisons around Zimbabwe, hospitals, prisons and cholera camps and there was enough left over to supply a further twenty-one medical institutions!
The $9 million worth of medicines that have been donated to Celebration Health were distributed to our beneficiaries, through the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare.

Celebration Health was blessed to be involved in a number of programs performed by both local and International teams in Zimbabwe. One of which was the medical outreach in Zvishavane held by the Australian Cosmos Health team. We were also able to donate medical supplies needed by the Christian Medical Fellowship of Zimbabwe for their outreach in Rusape.

Celebration Health donated medical and food supplies to the Harare Hospital Children's Ward in order to assist the children receiving free Hydrocephalus and cleft lip and palate surgery.

We have also had to address the situation of starvation in various communities. Celebration Health, for a number of our Family of Churches’ (FOC) communities, has distributed rice meal packages (rice, vegetables and soya). These meals were also distributed to institutions in the 13 of our FOC areas, particularly orphanages and children's homes. 8 prisons also benefited from these donated meals.
During the Christmas period, Celebration Health presented ''Christmas boxes'' of baby hampers and bras, to mothers and staff members at two hospitals and clinics around the country. The list of hospitals, institutions, communities and individuals who have benefitted and continue to be so, by donations from Celebration Health, is extensive and continues to grow. Our thanks for the support of all those who have brought, and continue to bring donations to Celebration Health for distribution... Be blessed and may you realize your breakthrough in 2010!!
