Cross Culture Young Adults Ministry takes root in Celebration Nairobi, Kenya
“Inakwachu for Sho...!” is the slogan for this vibrant, growing group of young people that has come up with a lot of promises for growth. It is a Sheng (Swahili slang) expression which means “It’s really catchy” or “Gets hold of you” in that sense. Cross Culture Kenya was birthed as a result of the student doctors who had gone to Kenya on their electives, and the group has been meeting an average of twice a month, with the numbers growing. Cross Culture has performed 2 dances in the church, and they also have performed a song authored by some of the members of the group who have talent in the musical arena. There is excitement in the young adults as they work on their first nyama choma (also known as braai in other countries) session in the next few weeks to increase bonding amongst the youths. In addition to that, there are plans to hold a camp in August, where also a number of young people from Harare are expected to join the group.
